Inspiration

We love to hear of creative initiatives that increase children's access to sport and physical activity.  The most critical element is leadership.  If you are or know a leader, get creative and think of ways to get more kids off the sidelines and into the game.

Girls' Touch Football: A local middle school recruited two community volunteers and were able to run a no-cut program for 50 girls.

Kids' Walking Program: An Ottawa community organization has been running a kids' walking program for many years, thanks to the leadership of a community volunteer.

Why not call your local school or community organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, and volunteer your energy today!

Local School Sports Calendars
It's simple math: 50 try out for the team, 15 make it, and the other 35 don't get to play.
If schools had greater resources we could help them get everyone in the game.
